Unofficial Fedora FAQ Updated for Fedora Core 6
Yes, that's right! Bring out the horns, spread the news, the Unofficial Fedora FAQ is updated for Fedora Core 6! There are a LOT of changes in the new FAQ:
* Updated yum configuration
* Updated Java instructions
* Uses mozplugger for PDFs instead of Acrobat Reader
* Uses ntfs-3g so you can read and write to your NTFS drives
* Help for 64-bit users, since I now have a 64-bit machine!
* Lots and lots of improvements--I went over every question, in detail, to make sure that it was good.
Enjoy the updated FAQ! And as always, please do contribute! Oh, and feel free to digg it, too!
-Max

OMG! Thanks. Someone a bit Foolish had mentioned that he thought FedoraSolved was going to be the new Source. Glad to see you've got your new machine up and running (finally) and that we've got an easy reference... So.... time to start work on FC-7?

Nice FAQ list! Well done.
Can I ask why "Yumex" was left out of the software update questions? I use Yumex for anything where I might add or update packages... well except for when I get the pup notices. But Yumex has a handy search feature! You can search "games" and get a lot of games listed, for example. It's GUI and I think worthy of mention.

Thanks, Seve! :-)
Hey bob! Hahaha, yeah, I finally have this machine up and running! :-) It's a great machine, actually. (I just ended up buying the parts off of NewEgg and putting it together myself, instead of having some vendor build it.) Hahaha, yeah, perhaps I should get an FC7 running in Xen and start the FC7 update! :-D
erroneus: There's a standard GUI that comes with Fedora now (pirut), so I wanted to mention that. In any case where I can, I always try to refer people to the "standard" method of doing things that Fedora encourages. Also that way, if there's something people don't like about pirut, they can request a change and we'll see improvements in it. :-)

Thanks very much. Very useful resource when I first installed Fedora 5, continually find it useful. The essential website for the Fedora newbie.

Was just surfing planet.mozilla.org and voila, one of your blog posts. I didn't know you were a Mozillian too. You get double cool points.

Yeah! I'm one of the primary developers of Bugzilla, and also its Release Manager.

Well, it's about time.
Nah, I'm just playing. I love your page, it made my life easy and taught me a lot the first time I installed FC. I know you put a lot of thought and work into every little aspect of it, and it's the best IMHO, always has been.
Thanks for all your hard work.
