Angry Cannot Login to Console(Text Mode)

I have installed the FC 6 with this options linux i686 acpi=off. BY the way, what is acpi ?

Here is my problem, my graphics card seem doesn't support by FC 6 but this is not my major problem because i can do this in console by typing system-config-display.

Unfortunately, i even cannot log in to console because i never enter any account yet but i have root password.

This is my situation, after enabling udev, it display an error message which is video mode not supported.

Then , i typed ctrl + Atl + 1 to switch to text mode. but i cannot even log in to console to configure my graphics cards.

Therefore, i need your guys help in this issue.

Your help is greatly appreciated by me and others.

Thanks for your help.

That should be ctl+alt+F1.

You should login as root user first and enter root password, then create a user account.

It is not clear what your problem is. If graphics is not working you should get dropped to the console but it sounds as if this is not happening? If so, boot in single user mode to get to a console: at the grub menu type "a" to edit the boot line and add the word "single" at the end of the line. Then carriage return will boot you into single user mode where you are root and can do any configuration you need to do.

Is this your first login after installation? If it is, that's why I said you have to login as root first. I don't think single user mode counts as first login.

Am I correct in assuming that English is not your first language? (You type with an accent)

Just in case this is only a communication problem, at the login screen the username should be root and the password should be rootpassword. After loging in as root, creat your account, logout, and log in as your user name.

Code:
Login screen
Code:
user root
password ********
If this is not a communication problem, please forgive me as I am having a little trouble understanding.

You are right. Enlighs is not my primary languages. By the way, this is not my first time login. Due to i cannot log in to GUI mode then i switch it to Text mode by typing Ctrl + ALt + 1 into single user mode which is runlevel 1. In there, shell display something like sh3.1 - > in here i type

useradd nicholas_tse
useradd nicholas_tse -p password
useradd -mk nicholas_tse -p password but also don't work.

Please give some guideline in this.

Your help is greatly appreciated by me and others.

Thanks for your help.

I am sorry, I have no more ideas.

Why did you need the acpi=off to install (I'm not possitive, but I think acpi is a laptop application).

I don't know think that would cause the problem you're having creating a user. Maybe something is missing in the installation.

I just don't know.
