Currently my notebook hdd has only 20G space where I installed WindowsXP and ubuntu. I searched from google and it seems many guys succeeded in installing linux on removable HDD. And I have a 40G removable disk. So I decide to have a try. But before I take the action, I think it's better to figure out the feasibility and problems may occur.
Anybody have any idea about this? Here are some of my questions:
1. I'm using grub to boot for ubuntu and winxp. If I install FC6 and the grub will be located at the removable disk according to the searching result, is that means I can't boot from winxp and ubuntu anymore unless I connect my removable disk to my notebook?
2. Is there anyway to download a LIVECD version FC6 in the removable HDD, whenever I want to play with FC6 I connect the removable HDD and boot from it, and if I dont connect removable disk, it will boot from current (hda0) as normal? Is it possible?
3. Any better solution to have all of windows xp, ubuntu and FC6 (or even more) installed on my 20G embedded notebook hdd and 40G removable HDD? I tried to exchange my notebook hdd to 40G but failed because I have not enough screw drivers for that.
