Application support between different versions of Fedora
If an application (Maya 8.5) was supported by its company (Autodesk) in Fedora Core 5, it should work in any later version of Fedora, right?
Will it work flawlessly, or will I have to tweak a lot?
I would say there is a very good chance it will work flawlessly. I have noticed this for programs like skype etc which only have FC5 versions. Howerver, there is no 'guarantee'
Um, just getting back to you guys about the results in case anyone was wondering, It didn't work at all. I've been having lots of issues getting this particular program to work in Linux. Once I did, but I had to use 16 bit color, and the UI of the program in linux looked like something from Wind'ohs 3.1 lol
