I have an Acer Aspire laptop too and have not found drivers for the camera and card reader yet (I guess they don't even exist). As for the modem and resolution you'd better search the forums & start threads dealing with them.

EDIT: your graphics chip is an Intel 945 (should be working without issues!), and your wifi an Intel 3945ABG (I believe there are drivers in Fedora repos for it). You have items to research about.

As stated in the announcement, if you're running FC6 or later, here's how to do this:

Open a terminal, enter:

su -c 'yum install smolt'

Enter root password when promted.

Once package is installed, enter:

smoltSendProfile

press y when promted.


Note:

Your smolt ID can be useful in many ways. Like when reporting bugs in bugzilla, refer to it to give the developers an overview of your hardware. Here in FedoraForum, it can be useful when asking questions related to hardware, simply post your smolt ID and other users can look at it. Having a link to your smolt Hardware Profile in your signature might be a good idea.

3d-acceleration, webcam, sound (but problems with microphone), wireless (through ndiswrapper) - works.

Buggy suspend, not all special keys are detected.

Trying to re-send after running Software Updater and I get the following:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/smoltSendProfile", line 35, in <module>
    from scan import scan
ImportError: No module named scan

How do I fix it?
