Cool Amarok deletes my podcasts

If I connect to my Ipod with Amarok, everythng looks good. I can see the device, I can play all of my music and all of my podcasts. I then disconnect my IPod from with Amarok and go to the Podcast menu on the IPod, there is nothing there. The menu is blank. All the music files and audio books are still there, but the the podcasts that are gone. I get them back by syncing with my windows box.

Any idea what could be causing this??

I am hoping to find a way to replace Itunes.

i think I turned my ipod into a generic storage device, put on rockbox, and just put stuff on myself. However, this might not quite be the setup you're looking for, because in the end I have to do everything myself...uploading, playlist creation, etc. Not sure what to tell you in regards to having a GUI similar to itunes to do it all, but this is working for me so far.
