Is it possible to start a NEW instance of totem?

Let's say i have totem playing my favorite DVD which is kinda boring so I
PAUSE my DVD and try to start another movie in a seperate totem.

But from command line totem <filename>
just REUSES the paused DVD totem so I lose the DVD stream.

Is it possible to start a parallel instance of Totem?
I tried man totem and hacked around with some of the command-line options
but to no avail.

Actually this makes me wonder about the general philosophy of Gnome when it comes
to spawn new instance of an app or resuse existing one.

I would file a RFE on Gnome's bugzilla for this, that option would be useful...

I wonder what mplayer, vlc or xine would do in these cases..?
But I really want to keep on using totem because for some things
like quickly fast forwarding that naughty video your watchin it does't lock up
like mplayer does.

As a cheap hack I could make a copy of totem call it totem2 and use it as a launcher
in frostwire. I suppose that would work

feature request... I think for Xine and mplayer those are actually options, I recall wanting to do that with mplayer at one point and editing the preferences did it.
