Boot Time Optimization

Hey guys, after counting a couple times I find that now with Fedora 7 it takes about 110 seconds to boot (almost 2 minutes), and this is on a laptop so sometimes i wanna turn it on, do something quickly and get going. This is compared to the original settings from Dell with windows (about 20-30 second boot)

Any way to optimize the boot time guys? Really appreciate the help and am loving this operating system and distribution

Hello:
A couple of suggestions:

Disable anything in your BIOS that you are not going to be using

Disable all the services that you are not going to use.

anybody hear of upstart? I think I came across it on an IBM page. It's a new system V init process. The page also mentioned starting system V services in paralell vs. serially which I believe is the way it is done now. I tried it but didn't buy me much. I'll see if I can find the page if anybody cares.

I want to try it too, but I'm not a expert in playing with annything that is not rpm or just theming or can be done trough yum and pirut.
