Angry old text-only-Matrix-printer (Fuijitsudl3300)

FedoraCore 7
Printer: fujitsu DL3300

Hallo
I am trying to install this old parallel printer:
Only DL3400 is found. This does not work properly, because DL3400 has the width of a Letter transverse.

I would like to install without any ppd. a simple text-Only-Printer did not need any driver in FC 3

Does anyone know, how I can install that printer?

Thanks
Philipp

I could solve the problem

in german:
http://www.linuxforen.de/forums/arch.../t-133989.html

in english:
you have to remove the "#" in /etc/cups/mime.types and /etc/cups/mime.convs

#application/octet-stream
application/octet-stream

and restart the cups service
