Can Not Connect through a Wired Internet Connection

I just install FC8 and I can not connect to the internet.
1 I know the I have a good internet connection
2 I tried playing with it through Network Configuration and didn't work


computer specs

2.8 intel
asus P5GD1-FM/S Motherboard (Ethernet built In)
Ati X1550 Video Card(dosen't work)
Linksys wmp54gs wireless card(dosen't work)



Please help me get onto the series of tube you call the internet

Try stoping NetworkManger service and check. I could only connect after this workaround for my proxy network.

I tried that and it didn't work.

When I deactived and then tried to reactivate it gave me this message:

/sbin/iifup: configuration for eth1 not found
Usage: ifup <device name>

I removed NetworkManager from runlevel 3 and 5, then gave the required network configuration and restarted the network. It worked fine with me.

system-->Administration-->Services - To Stop NetworkManager
system-->Administration-->Network - To Configure Network

hi !

i have same problem...i have installed f7 without any problems, but i cant connect to internet
so ...what do i do next..?
i have changed irq from unknown to 11...and now it says "device eth0 does not seem to be present"...........but put it back on "unknown"
i did many different tasks with network manager...and it did not help...
