Greetings,
I'm trying to install Core 1 on a IBM thinkpad laptop. It is rather old but does have pcmcia ports. It does not have built-in ethernet, so I tried to use a Cisco Aironet 350 wireless adapter to do the install over the network (BTW, no cd drive).
I get booted to the install screens, but the installer cannot load the driver for the wireless adapter. When I try to load the dd for the pcmcia card, I see a message (alt-F3) that says:
module(s) airo airo_cs usb-uhci no found. Thinking that the driver was just missing from the pcmcia dd, I took a look at the pcmcia dd and found that in deed the airo and airo_cs drivers were on the disk. Does anyone know why this driver wouldn't load? Also, the device did no appear in the list of devices that could be used.
Thanks for any assistance,
Lane
