SIS 630/730 hardware acceleration

I have Fedora 8 installed and when I try to play some games I get a message that my system does not support hardware acceleration. I think I need an other driver for my sis 730 video chip. Where can I find a good driver and how do I install it? I am a newbie in Linux. Please help!!!

i think you are out of luck ... the proprietary sis drivers are for old version XFree 3.3.6 ... F8 uses much newer X.Org ... the 630/730 are old chipsets. .. Suggest you buy a new nvidia card which has 3D hardware support from livna, or revert to an older version of X.
