Toshiba Laptop and Projector

Hello,

I have a Toshiba A60 with fc8 and have encountered problems with displaying video on a connected projector. I am using mplayer 1.0rc2-4.1.2 and the video card is ATI 7000 IGP.

MPG's play fine on the laptop's LCD display but the display on the connected projector shows just a black rectangle where the video appears on the laptop. The video window frame and everything else from the desktop is displayed just fine by the projector. It rather looks as if a completely separate X server is being used for the actual video, is this possible?

I've also noticed that none of the Fn-Fx controls seem to work.

Any suggestions as to how to get the display working as I'd expect would be welcome.

Or is this an "mplayer" problem?
