Splatter will change your Gnome desktop wallpaper every so often to a random one in the list of available wallpapers you have added to Gnome

The notes didn't work for me as it wouldn't create the required directories
Change * to suit your username

mkdir /home/*/.splatter
cd /home/*/.splatter
wget http://dfn.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/splatter/splatter
mkdir /home/*/.config/autostart
chmod +x /home/*/.splatter/splatter
/home/*/.splatter/splatter
Run it and see if you get a error

I am afraid I cannot read the wallpaper file: [/home/leigh/.gnome2/backgrounds.xml]. Exiting.
If you do just change your gnome background to create .gnome2/backgrounds.xml
Then to run it again

To add it to sessions startup I had to make a small script

gedit /home/*/.splatter/splatter-startup
Then add (
change leigh to your username )

Then add the path to the startup script to sessions startup
