slow processing due to unclean shutdown

hello sir,

i'm using fedora 2, while booting the system power went off,before issuing the poweroff command , the system got off. when i start the system after that, proceesing of the system became too low. so can you help me in increaing the processing speed of my system.

i also issued fsck command to the root file system., then also, no improment in the speed. i need to know is there any way to increase the speed.

Fedora Core 2 is old. I'd suggest updating if that's a possibility. Fedora 8 is the current release.

Otherwise, try disabling unneeded services.

Posting your system specs would help, too.
