Two Hardware Issues post Fedora 7 install

I have been tinkering with linux distros and settled on Fedora as I am taking an online course through the HP Learning Center. Fedora 7 is the course distro being used (and one I am willing to settle on)

I have an old PCV-RX450 (http://www2.sony.com/SEL/consumer/ss...50_specs.shtml) Sony Vaio desktop running Fedora 7. The installation went smooth and I have applied all security updates post install. Only two items remain:

1. I have a new HP w17e widescreen monitor. The display (though set to 1440x900) will only show the size in regular, not widescreen. My video is a Sis730s.
   
2. I have a Belkin fsd7050 wireless adapter. It is not being recognized. (I have a wireless G linksys router.)

As a TOTAL newb to linux (other than playing with live CDs), what info do you guys/gals need and what steps do I need to take?

I have not really verified but I have the feeling the linux module for that card may not support widescreen modes.
For the Belkin search for ndiswrapper and use the windows inf driver that came with it. Many good post on installing as fom source or through yum which would be the easier for a beginner.
