I know it may not sound much to some but I actually persuaded my Dad to install linux in his new desktop. I plumped for the latest Ubuntu _64, got everything running nice and smooth, showed him a few things on it and just generally helped him settle with it. The only problem was his printer/scanner (Epson 4450) which I couldn't configure the scanner part (inc googling for hours) I decided to go out and buy the same type as me (HP F2180) which works out of the box
He has had it in for about 4or 5 days now and starting to enjoy it
