Question Problem with VMWare and Wireless bridging

Hi all,

I have got this problem while installing VMWare 6.0.3 on FC9. after installing the ¨Any Any Update 17¨, I run the vmware-config.pl. the final output is like this:

Starting VMware services:
Virtual machine monitor [ OK ]
Virtual ethernet [ OK ]
Bridged networking on /dev/vmnet0 [FAILED]
Host network detection [ OK ]
Host-only networking on /dev/vmnet1 (background) [ OK ]
DHCP server on /dev/vmnet1 [ OK ]
Host-only networking on /dev/vmnet8 (background) [ OK ]
DHCP server on /dev/vmnet8 [ OK ]
NAT service on /dev/vmnet8 [ OK ]

The configuration of VMware Workstation 6.0.3 build-80004 for Linux for this
running kernel completed successfully.

on previous Kernel, (2.6.25-14), I had no problem installing and bridging my wireless (which is by the way an Atheros Wireless - with latest madwifi driver).

please HELP !!

Best Regards

Ah yes, the any any update breaks wireless. I have a fix mentioned at
http://home.nyc.rr.com/computertaijutsu/vmware.html

WARNING--it's dated, so I don't know if it will work. Also, you say VMware 6 so I guess that's workstation--I only tried mine on server.

Still, it might be worth a shot.

Ah great--I was going to ask you to post the results so that if it no longer worked, I would mention that on the page.

Thank you for posting the results.

Do you have an updated link to this fix? I am having issues with bridging my connection.
