Unhappy SATA RAID PCI Card (VT6421)

Hi guys im trying to use 2 cards with this chip without success.
I tryied both fedora 8 and fedora 9, i see the HDs than i connect to the card, but after i format them (ext3,ext2,ntfs) i get errors while mounting them.
When i format them (directly to the motherboard or another box) they work for a while, after i start copying files i get errors like "Error while copying...) and i cant mount it again
my hds are fine they work just fine while using directly to the motherboard, but i need more Hds that's why i need to use this card.
Does anybody know how to fix this?
Thanks
