Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 connection issues - log attached

Had this mouse about a week and it has been disconnecting at irregular intervals. Sometimes it's fine for about an hour, but sometimes it drops connection every few minutes. Also, sometimes it reconnects within about 10 seconds, sometimes it can take up to 10 minutes for it to reconnect. Even if I try to reconnect manually, or switch off the mouse and turn it back on again; nothing seems to hurry the reconnection speed.

It has no correlation to usage, either. I can be moving the mouse round the screen, scrolling down a web page or clicking away. It's application independent, too. It drops the connection when it feels is the best time to really annoy me, completely at random. If it wasn't brand new I'd have head butted it to death by now.

So I've been in work about 4 hours now and it hasn't dropped the connection at all. The only messages in the log about it are below. There is no more, or no less, equipment that could interfere in my office since my last post.

Any ideas?

I have my mouse on and it is in paring mode. My laptop sees the mouse and yet the laptop claims the mouse is down.

What have I missed?

Must have been a Fedora 9 issue as this is sorted in F10 Preview. The only gripe now is that when the mouse goes to sleep and I wake it up again, it's more sensitive than it was before it went to sleep. If I do System -> Preferences -> Hardware -> Mouse as soon as the dialogue is open the sensitivity returns to normal levels without changing anything or saving anything.

Very odd.
