Cant send files to my laptop via bluetooth from my Nokia E71

I can scan just fine with hcitool and it detects my phone, its showing up as running in service and my laptop can connect and send files through the GUI (Bluetooth Applet 0.26) just fine.

The problem is when I try to send files from the phone, it detects my laptop but when sending the file I get a (Sending Failed). I use a Nokia E71.

I tried disabling both selinux and the firewall just to make sure its not blocking the files being sent from my phone, I get the same result, the message on my phone says sending failed.

Same problem testing this from another Nokia phone, any idea what could be causing this or how to get it to work?

I have the following installed;
Quote:
bluez-gnome-0.25-1.fc9.i386
pybluez-0.9.1-4.fc9.i386
bluez-hcidump-1.41-1.fc9.i386
bluez-utils-3.36-1.fc9.i386
bluez-utils-cups-3.32-1.fc9.i386

bluez-utils-alsa-3.32-1.fc9.i386
bluez-gnome-analyzer-0.25-1.fc9.i386

obexfs-0.11-0.3.rc3.fc9.i386
openobex-1.3-13.fc9.i386
python-obexftp-0.22-0.9.rc9.fc9.i386
gnome-vfs2-obexftp-0.4-6.fc9.i386
openobex-apps-1.3-13.fc9.i386
obex-data-server-0.3.1-1.fc9.i386
obexftp-0.22-0.9.rc9.fc9.i386
Is anyone else having this problem?

I have tried all day long connected my N70 with my F10 laptop, I can send files from my laptop to nokia. And wammu wont work either. I dont know what to do.
hciconfig hci0 piscan
and
obexftpd -b <channel>
then I finally can send files from nokia N70 to laptop. I dont know why I spent hours for this but, I learned a bit of obex and bluetooth!
when obexftpd -b channel are running, just try sending files from your phone.
As I remember I also did a 'modprobe fuse' for unkown reasons, I dont know what fuse is. But I still did it.

Hi severinen,

I tried running both the commands you had suggested, I get a (Waiting for connection...) message when running (obexftpd -b <channel>) with my channel number and nothing happens after that so I had to kill that.

I tried sending files again from my phone and I still get the sending failed message. How did you get it to work? Am I missing something?
