nVidia GeForce4 MX 4000 & Fedora 10

Hi Guys:

I got an GeForce4 MX 4000 graphics card on an Fedora 10 64 bit installation.

I tried installing the drivers from: http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showpo...69&postcount=1
It give me:

Loaded plugins: refresh-packagekit
livna | 2.4 kB 00:00
fedora | 2.8 kB 00:00
rpmfusion-free-updates | 2.7 kB 00:00
rpmfusion-free | 2.7 kB 00:00
updates | 2.3 kB 00:00
Setting up Install Process
Parsing package install arguments
No package kmod-nvidia-96xx available.
No package xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-96xx-libs available.
Nothing to do

So I tried searching for the packages myself, and found them on:
http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat...86_64.rpm.html and http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat...86_64.rpm.html

But both depend on each other, how do I solve that?

Hello:

I think that you may have missed something, as those two packages are definitely available from the rpmfusion-nonfree-updates repo.

Actually, I'm guessing that you do not have the necessary repo installed?

Can you post the output of

yum repolist

Hello:
Go here http://rpmfusion.org/Configuration and follow the instructions for installing the nonfree repository.
No. 2

Once that is complete you will be able to use yum to install the drivers for your card.

Hello:

That worked thx, but now I cant see something on my screen only with vnc.

I got an LG flatron L1918S with an resolution of 1280x1024. I look for me if the refresh rate is wrong. Thrue the gui I can only set the refresh rate to 50 or 51 Hz, and it don't detect my screen there.

"/etc/X11/xorg.conf" look like:

# Xorg configuration created by livna-config-display

Section "Files"
ModulePath "/usr/lib64/xorg/modules/extensions/nvidia"
ModulePath "/usr/lib64/xorg/modules/drivers"
ModulePath "/usr/lib64/xorg/modules"
EndSection

Section "ServerFlags"
Option "AIGLX" "on"
EndSection

Section "Device"
Identifier "Videocard0"
Driver "nvidia"
Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "True"
EndSection

Section "Extensions"
Option "Composite" "Enable"
EndSection

Thx so far.
