live cd installer vs dvd installer
Hi! i recently started trying fedora 10 out on live cd (in my case usb ) and loving it... i want to install it, should i get the dvd image, or would it be okay for me to just install off live cd (usb) and install whatever i want through the package manager later...
why/why not?
also on live usb, i cant find the package manager under applications...
first time poster... thanks

This is a double edged sword in my opinion. If you install from the live CD you will have a ton of updates in terms of volume, more than if you install from the DVD. However, if you don't already have the install DVD then you of course need to download it, and it's roughly 3.5 GB, which will take some time too. So you sort of can't win. Either way you're in for some intense network activity.
Package manager should be under the System > Administration menu.
Oh, and welcome to Fedora Forum Fedorocks.

And as stated before down loading a DVD if you;re connection is not so fast it takes a long time.
If the Live CD works you can build it up peace by peace and so have the benefit of doing a check from time to time

Hello:
Does the LiveCd work fine for you, i.e. network etc.?
If so, there is no need to download any other install media. Even if you did, most of the applications / packages included would be outdated by now.

Hello:
If you can successfully install, then everything you need ..... should/will be provided in the updates.
