bbc iplayer sound problem

Hello,

Recently when listening to the bbc iplayer radio listen again feature the stream sounds like speeded up scratched vinyl.

I use Fedora 10 and firefox.

Can anyone help?

sadly, the simple fix for this and numerous other "crackling" audio issues is to do

su -c 'yum remove pulseaudio'

and reboot.

If you want to stick with pulseaudio in F10 then do a search here, there are guides which some have found successful in getting it truly "glitch-free"

I followed one of the guides yesterday which installed a number of other pulseaudio related components and it made a big positive difference. My audio volume doubled (back to normal) and the horrible clicks and glitches have gone away.

The -tsched=0 didn't work for me though.

Removing pulse audio didn't help. But I ran system update 2 days ago and now it plays problem free.

The fix for me did turn out to be removing pulseaudio.
