Functions keys not working

Hello,

I'm using Fedora 10 on my HP Pavilion dv7-1018eg notebook and I've installed the closed-source nvidia driver.
Some function keys (switch to external monitor, change brightness) don't work. Some of the keys even don't emit an event in xev.

Has anybody successfully configured these function keys?

I think it is configured automatically when you install fedora 10 (that's what happend with me)..
