Problem in starting FC5

I am using FC5 in my intel P-III mechine. My system was working fine. But today it refused to start. The error given is
Red Hat nash version 5.0.32 starting
/bin/sh:ro: No such file or directory
Karnel panic-not syncing:attempted to kill init;
I'm in urgent need to get my sysytem started.
Please Help me. It is urgent
I am usin GRUB as boot loader with winxp and FC5

how come your using Fedora Core 5 when its out of date?

Pl help if you have any idea. I am still using FC5. Using Grub as boot loader. mY MECHINE IS dual boot with win XP and FC5

did you keep the fedora Core 5 DvD? boot into rescue mode

Thanks Demz. Yes i can boot in rescue mode and the FC5 is successfully mounted. Yhen what to do. Pl help
