Multifunctional Epson SX100 with FC10 on 64 Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop

Hi,

I need your help. I've been reading a lot and trying many things, but couldn't make my scanner work. I bought a multifunctional Epson sx100. According to here:http://www.openprinting.org/show_pri...n-Stylus_SX100 it should work OK with FC10.
I have a dell inspiron 1501 laptop.

uname -a
Linux GO 2.6.27.19-170.2.35.fc10.x86_64 #1 SMP Mon Feb 23 13:00:23 EST 2009 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

The driver installed ok (cups and iscan) from avasys. Every time I try to scan with xsane I get this: failed to start scanner: invalid argument.
Thanks in advance.

I forgot to add, I'm using gnome and this:

If I try with iscan I get this:

Could not send command to scanner. Check the scanner's status.
