Sify Internet Disconnects after 15 mins

Hi
I am using Sify Broad Band connection in fedora 10
The problem is after every say approx 15 min i am not able to surf the internet
I have to log of the sify dialer and login again
then it works fine for say another 15 mins

I have windows also and it works fine over there
This problem i was facing in fedora 8 and fedora 9 also

please provide some logs

like 1> how does you connect to internet ? is the sify dialer like a pppoe program ?

2> when internet disconnects is there any message in /var/log/messages ?

I am using the latest sify dialer

Also there is no log in tail -f /var/log/messages

does the dialer have any log file where it records its actions ?

But i dont think that it maintains any log

People are having lots of trouble with Sify. Get MTNL or Airtel.

Thanks man
but for me mtnl and airtel option is not available
i can have bsnl connection but they are not available i have enquired with them we can apply now but we will get the internet connection after 3 months

have you tried using rp-pppoe to connect ? it is also a dialer program equivalent to rp-pppoe in windows ? or can't you connect with sify without their software ?
