sd card reader

i can't get f11 to recognize any type of sd card in my card reader. my laptop has this 'SD/MMC Host Controller' and when i put a card in nothing happens. in fedora 10 even if the card type was incompatible the readers light would still blink as it tried to read it. with f11 i get no activity at all. do i need to enable pciehp? any tips would be a great help. thanks.

those commands just gave me errors like this

setpci: Warning: No devices selected for "0xca=0x57".
setpci: Missing width.
Try `setpci --help' for more information.

the hardware works fine, i tested it in windohs with no problems and i think it worked in F10 but nothing in F11. i also tried with the 2.6.30 kernel with no success either.

i tried loading the pciehp module but apparantly it doesn't exist in F11.

any ideas?

edit: just tried booting with pciehp_force and still no success

Any errors in /var/log/messages when you plug in the reader or the card?

this is the last thing in that file
Jun 8 16:31:19 localhost kernel: CE: hpet increasing min_delta_ns to 50624 nsec

everything else seems to be from bootup but i don't know what i'm looking for.

this might be related. at every bootup i get a kernel oops. here it is.
