Hello,
I got in my hands a 24" Intel Core 2 duo iMac with no OS from an employee who left the company and I tried installing Fedora 11 but it seems that grub cannot read anything from GPT. Its been 2 days I am reading in forums etc but I cant get it to work. I dont want to dual boot with os x, just fedora 11.
The x86_64 live cd starts fine, the installation goes fine but when it boots it shows the grey envelope with the question mark. I tried installing grub both in mbr and /dev/sda1 but no luck.
Then I tried with the dvd iso and the same thing happened. Installation went fine, but it cannot boot. I tried ubuntu 9.04 x64 just to see I could get it installed and it works out of the box. I am a fedora evangelist though, I cant deal with ubuntu
I was reading in some forums that they were installing Mint with ubuntu grub?
Does anyone know how to overcome this issue?
Thanks,
Adam
