I have a wd mybook external hard drive with usb, firewire and e sata connections
on fc11 the usb and firewire automount when the drive is connected.
I havent tried to plug the e sata drive in with the system up and running but with
the drive plugged in at power up time the system finds the drive but does not
automount. I assume this is normal although not really sure and I can mount the
drive via cmd line.
Is this behavior normal? Is it safe to hot plug the esata connector while the system
is running as this is a drive for backups I dont want to take any chances on data
corruption.
