Media Playback from a website

I am having an issue that I need some help with. I recently convinced my girlfriend to switch from Windows Vista to Fedora Linux . So far the conversion has been painless & I have her doing in Fedora the same things she used to do in Vista with one exception. My girlfriend likes to go to http://tnt.tv/ and watch the online episodes. Since switching over to Fedora 11, she has been unable to watch any of the episodes online. This poses a problem for me because I can't get it to work. I have the computer where it will play everything else, but the media streamed by this site. So, I am asking for some help. Any ideas?

Have you installed the non-free mplayer (including the binary codecs http://www.mjmwired.net/resources/mj...l#mediaplayers) or the original Quicktime player?

I have tried a lot of codecs & players, but I do not believe I tried QuickTime or non-free MPlayer. I can try those after I get home on my desktop. It is doing the same thing & I am using it to test before I do things to the gf's laptop.

As far as I can see (and I cannot see much, because I am not having an american IP) it is on a wmv codecs. Depending on whether it has DRM enabled or not, you might be able play it on Linux. Worst case scenario is installing WM-Player via Wine.

DRM may be the case. Both of these PCs can play WMV formats. So, I may have to try to install WM Player on Wine. I am not quite sure how to do that. Do you happen to have a good tutorial for that?

Funny.

First of all try to tell them you are actually a Windows: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/59

To be honest I have never installed the Windows Media Player before. So have a look here: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManage...rsion&iId=3212

And yes this might be helpful as well:http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=169544

That is funny. I have never gotten that error screen. Firefox will just keep loading & transferring data. I will try that & see what happens first. Because I guess you are right, they use DRM to block out anyone who isn't using M$. Thanks for digging into that.
