Virtual disk images (virtual box - virtual machine manager)

I may regret the move later but currently I'm moving some machines from virtualbox to virtual machine manager. Has anyone tried or do you know if virtual machine manager will play with .vdi or .vdmk? Or will qemu-img convert them nicely? Right now I think my best chance of success is with dd (live disk) and a network drive but I'd rather not if I don't have to.

Thanks
