32bit firefox on x86_64

I have been having trouble with firefox3.5 on my x86_64 FC11 install for a month now...firefox freezes my pc. So I used yum to remove firefox. Now I'm wondering if I could just use another rpm for firefox...could I use the 32 bit version safely? I found the rpm and started doing a local install with yum but it wants these dependencies:

yum localinstall --nogpgcheck firefox-3.5-1.fc11.i586.rpm

Hi Yes, as it basically works fine for me.

I went ahead and installed the 32 bit version of firefox. I had a lot less plugins but it installed ok. Unfortunately the 32 bit rpm of firefox froze up my pc too, so I removed it with yum. I am experimenting so I can give Mozilla an accurate description of what happens...I reinstalled the 64 bit version of firefox and disabled all plugins and have no add ons installed. So far it hasn't frozen. Maybe it doesn't like plugins in 3.5?
