Question Basket - Errors

Hi I am new to Fedora, actually any linux distributor. I am trying to install basket so that I may use it for studying I had OneNote on Vista but I don't like Windows and have been wanting to try Linux. So here I am but I am having trouble getting Basket installed. I followed the install directions and this what I get.

In the most cases, some libraries are missing or cannot be found.
Think to install the *-dev or *-devel packages of your distribution.
For example, if libmng cannot be found,
please check if libmng AND libmng-devel packages are installed on your system.
See the reported errors to know which librarie need to be installed.

I am not sure how to see the reported errors or what I am missing. I am don't even understand what libraries are. If you don't have an answer or feel that I should find it myself I have tried. So if you could direct me to the right docs to read or a web site that would be great but I would love to get answer cos I am falling behind on my studying.

Thanks,
Rosiedayz

Library is roughly equivalent to .dll files in Windows.

What the error tells you is that you need to install bit more stuff to get the program working. Open the "Add/Remove Software" and search for "libmng", you should see both "libmng" and "libmng-devel" in the results. If they are not installed, mark them to be installed.

If you don't find any results, open terminal and type "yum whatprovides libmng" to see which package it comes with, once you find that out, you can then install that specific package (note: you may be able to check package provider in GUI tool as well).
