I managed to install it.
With Nvidia card, Anaconda does not show up (black screen)
With Intel card, screen flickers as heck, but anaconda shows up
With Intel care and install option "use default driver", Anacond shows up without flicker.
Anaconda still has /boot set to ext3.
I changed it to ext4, works but installation does not complete fully (no installation complete. restart computer now message) had to kill it.
It seemed that when i enabled rawhide repo in Anaconda installation hanged on kernel (not sure but i got no response so i killed it)
When not enabeling rawhide repo it did not hang on kernel installation.
Anaconda screen seemed a bit bigger but still black bars top bottom sides.
No firstboot. Had to add a user in tty1
Network Manager acted strange and when i tried to update using eth0 netif , system hung.
retried using network instead of network manager and updated.
After todays updates no more GUI
Xorg.0.log reports about a segfault (gcc)
That's all folks

I have an nvidia card, so may be it is my problem.
But for me an my laptop (toshiba X200 with 8700M GT), may be it is another problem:
Before I attempt install this DVD, I test rawhide by installing an F11 and update with the rawhide repo.
And with this install, all the kernel 2.6.31 don't boot (black screen and freeze of my laptop)
I install an F12-2.6.30 kernel, an I boot with this...
Do you think that is may be an 2.6.31 kernel problem?
I sent a rapport on bugzilla , but no respond... ( https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=513680)

Hi all,
I might give the new Fedora Alpha 12 DVD.iso a try,but having seen the errors from some of the people who tried it,I might try the next daily build(if there is one for these).
And also after I've copied all the stuff that I downloaded and that is non-standard with a fresh install into my windows partition.
Regards,

After updating xorg-x11-server to 27.20090804 (koji) it lets me use a GUI again.
Only works with Intel card & vesa module, else black screen.

I think this is related:
http://airlied.livejournal.com/67628.html
I just removed the nomodeset kernel option and although it loaded with the intel card. it flickered/flashed as the installation did without using default driver.
So i think it is a work in progress...

Trying to install f12 alfa (f11 works perfect on same mashine):
Dell PowerEdge 400SC
Usb mouse not detected - have to unplug and plug again to work
Raid adapter not detected - LSI LOGIC 53c1030
VirtualBox:
Installation freeses at the end on the last package - have to reset.
After first boot no "firstboot wizard" - have to add user on runlevel 3

No luck here with the i586 Live image, verified the integrity with sha1sum used liveusb-creator to install to a 1GB flash drive gets as far as udev stalls then throws a kernel panic.

I tried to installed x86_64 Live cd (RC2 for Fedora 12 alpha) and it does not install - anaconda always crashes before starting.
When booting with selinux=0 the same thing happens, and trying to start the setup from the terminal gives what seems like a dbus error.

After installing Fedora 12 Alpha, no problem with the installation of the last package for my "VirtualBox" session.
My kernel versions are:
vmlinuz-2.6.31-0.125.4.2.rc5.git2.fc12.i686
vmlinuz-2.6.31-0.167.4.2.rc6.git2.fc12.i686
vmlinuz-2.6.31-0.174.4.2.rc7.git2.fc12.i686
vmlinuz-2.6.31-0.190.4.2.rc8.git2.fc12.i686
After installing Fedora 12 Alpha, on my Virtual PC 2007, I still got an inoperative mouse and keyboard.
I added the -
noreplace-paravirt xdriver=vesa i8042.noloop fbcon=map:9
to the kernel boot parameters of my grub.conf file.
