BOINC Help

I can't seem to get BOINC to run on F12. I've installed it from the repositories and downloaded it from the BOINC website. I keep getting an error message "Error Retrieving current status". Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have exactly the same problem. I followed the steps suggested in the boinc wiki page: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Insta...OINC_on_Fedora, however it is still not working. According to the above webpage, this "problem" is not actually a problem, instead it is a security thing. it didn't seem to me so. It is really frustrating. One interesting point is that I don't experience this problem in Ubuntu linux.

I've never had trouble with it on Ubuntu either. Still searching for a solution, if I find one I will be sure to repost it here.
