Firefox-Flash Causing System to Crash

So this just started a few days ago... maybe 7 at the most.

I am working along, and screen goes black, or just freezes... the lights on my laptop start blinking and becomes everything becomes unresponsive.

I have noticed it is usually when I am Using Firefox and Flash content. I have also noticed it happens when using Deluge, but it usually takes 5 minutes to kick in.

I am using firefox at the moment, but I am sure if I load up a youtube video, it will lock up on me again.

Does anyone know where I could find a fix for this?

I seem to be having a similar problem (though clearly with more recent packages).
did track down a solution?

Yes, but it was so long ago, I have forgotten!

It wasn't firefox that was the issue... it was something else I had done with another program or something. Shoot, I wish I could remember what it was now.

If I remember, I will definitely let you know.

OH! I remember, it was a Kernel update...

Short-term Fix:

I logged into the old kernel and it worked fine... so on bootup, hit escape and choose an older kernel, and you should be fine until the next kernel update.
