Xine and AVI files?

Hi All:
I try using xine to play AVI files, but it reports a codec missing while mplayer plays it just fine.

Can anyone help?

I use F11 with all the latest updates.

That package is installed.

did you create the win32 dir in /usr/lib/win32 ?
and unpacked all codecs there, found on winehq.com?

Solution to run any media file type in fedora 12 ......

Install VLC on Fedora 12 Linux

Download and install

http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-fedora.html

$ su
$ rpm -ivh http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-stable.noarch.rpm
$ yum install vlc

Now after installing vlc you can run all media file types on vlc and "totem movieplayer" (if missing codecs) click search and installs plug-ins from internet.

I didn't feel any problem to play video or audio files.
