My computer is Dell Inspiron 1501.
Your suggestion is very appreciated.
Have you tried the basic stuff like loading compiz as well as the compiz manager and then tried running it to see if compiz is ok with your video card??

I have tried the compiz, but it can't work with my poor video card.
My VGA card is ATI xpress 1150. Could you tell me which driver is good for my card?
Step#1. Install the non-official driver.
In the terminal, type the code :
yum install mesa*
Step#2. Modify the boot file.
After the successful installation ,you should go to the /boot/grub/grub.conf to modify the file.
Add a parameter nomodeset to kernel.
is mesa in the default repositories, or RPMFusion or another repository?
