hi there.
i have a little box for a media center, that has an nvidia 9400 hdmi output
this is aplay -l
Code:
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 0: ALC888 Analog [ALC888 Analog]
Subdevices: 0/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 1: ALC888 Digital [ALC888 Digital]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 3: NVIDIA HDMI [NVIDIA HDMI]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
now, for some reason, i can get sound out only thru the regular stereo jack.
hdmi only outputs video.
i've even tried using aplay with some garbage file, and it does make static noise on my headphones (on the normal jack), but when i select the hdmi as output, there's silence.
i change the selection on pulse audio volume control.
im using FC12, with kde, and nvidia drivers
any ideas?
