Fedora 12 hangs while rebooting or shutting down
Hi to all,
Since i installed fedora 12 i cannot successfully shutdown or reboot my pc as was possible with fedora 11: i already tried with no luck with desktop button, the commands 'poweroff', the 'shutdown -h now' and the 'reboot' but the system go to the bliking cursor and hangs without powering off (and reboot while requested). And i have to hard poweroff the system... (GRRRR)
If i go on the console I can only see the system terminating services and saying "halting system" and then hangs...
Now i have kenel 2.6.32.12-115.fc12.i686.PAE, but this problem happened with last 5 preceeding.
I use the mjm installation guide since fedora 7 (or later) and i had the following HW (lspci):

Re: Fedora 12 hangs while rebooting or shutting down
Fedora 12 no longer puts shutdown messages on the screen, in text mode, unless you switch to a different terminal. Try ALT+F11 or ALT+F7 to see if the messages show up. Did you give your PC enough time to shut down?

Re: Fedora 12 hangs while rebooting or shutting down
Thanks a lot.
I try your suggestions, but no words on f7 or f11 console.
I can only see services shutting down on f1 then it froze on "rebooting system" or "halting system", the 3 keyboard leds blink 1 time and the cursor stop to blink.
No power down even if I wait.
Do you know which services or modules are responsible for powering off? And hopefully how to debug them?
Regards
