Re: Gnome desktop wallpaper changes don't stay in effect after reboot

That explains it. I didn't have this behaviour with F12, it only started with my F13 install using the same image as F12. In my case on login it would cause an SELinux violation as well and then change back to default. I had installed wallpapoz while installing F13 and did not realize that the installation had set it to autostart. I now have it disabled. In my case I may have other issues as well which I'll be checking out.

Re: Gnome desktop wallpaper changes don't stay in effect after reboot

I've copied the jpg file to /usr/share/backgrounds/images/ chown root:root. That took care of the switching backgrounds on me. I have also disabled autostart of wallpapoza and that seems to have stopped the security alerts for that file. So I guess for me for now the problem has been resolved.

Re: Gnome desktop wallpaper changes don't stay in effect after reboot

It seems that if you installed wallpapoz, it shouldn't generate security alerts. But, what do I know? Not a security expert.

My problem was slightly different than what others have experienced. Changing the wallpaper wouldn't even work for a minute as I switched around in workspaces. I suppose this is 'desired behavior' but it seems to me, if you installed wallpapoz and then tell gnome system appearances, or whatever that program is, to change the wallpaper it should interface with wallpapoz and change it.

Maybe it's wallpapoz that's buggy. I don't know. I couldn't find ANY way to change the wallpaper in the program, but I didn't look very hard. Was too annoyed. Heh.

BTW Soulblane, I'm sorry I didn't get to post to your bug. By the time I got here, they'd closed it. I'm going to browse around and see about filing a bug against wallpapoz because I think the system should be integrated enough to detect a wallpaper change from any source, and change it.

Even i had the same problem but after removing wallpapoz and restart everything works fine. but if you want to keep wallpapoz you would have to manage your wallpaper for different workspaces through it.

Before looking for solutions you should always check things you have installed recently that may have triggered such a problem.
