So by that theory ... methinks the printing press should thus be declared an infernal device of the devil and summarily banned throughout all human civilization.

Morning Dan.

I've often thought that a major problem with our technological society is that most of the people writing on technical issues have as little - if not less - understanding of the subject than their readers. That's not counting those peddling their pet theories, conspiracy or otherwise, which I presume is what you were refering to. Sadly a lot of people seem to think that if it's in print it must be true, and ignore any contradictory evidence, although to a dedicated conspiracy theorist any evidence aagainst their theory is proof that they're right, as it's evidence of a cover-up.

Re: Earthquake

By the way, if anyone is in NYC, this Saturday there will be a benefit put on by PeridanceCenter, for about $22 per person, and as far as I know, all the money will go to Japan. I honestly don't know the calibre of the performers--sometimes, they're at or close to professional level and other times, very obviously students.

MAJOR DISCLAIMER---my wife has major ties to this school--the owner gave her away at our wedding, so I guess I have ties too.

Re: Earthquake

Apparently, there was a Magnitude 5.2 quake in the Tokyo area, at 1:36am. I didn't feel a thing though!
