New Humble Bundle

The pay-what-you-want to whom-you-want bundle is back (http://www.humblebundle.com/)

The latest bundle is called Frozenbyte Bundle including following:
Trine, Shadowgrounds: Survivor, and Shadowgrounds. Additionally, your Frozenbyte bundle includes a preorder for Splot and a prototype with source code for Jack Claw.

You decide how much you pay and to whom the money goes, so far they have raised over $1 million to charity alone, so it's a win-win situation, you get great games and help needing same time.

Remember that all games are DRM free, available for Linux, Mac and Windows and you can once bought, you can download the bundle for each platform, not just one you say its for. You'll be also helping smaller studios to stay in business and have a chance to show them that there is enough Linux users worth developing games for - on average it has been around 25% of payments have been contributed by people marking Linux as their OS. Let's keep that up!

Re: New Humble Bundle

I dowloaded both the shadow ground games and neither works with x86_64 Fedora 14. I got the launchers to run by installing libglade2.i686. Anyone have success running these ?

Re: New Humble Bundle

Sounds like they are 32-bit applications (at least some of them) so start them from command line and install missing packages that error messages indicate. You already got started with libglade, now you need to just sort the rest of the missing 32-bit libraries. And of course, it would be great if you then posted the list to this thread for the next guy who has same problem.

Re: New Humble Bundle

Well in my case here is what I needed to do to finally get them working.

Running from the command line I just got a SIGSEV with no real information about what was causing it.
Running it under GDB showed that is was pulling in the mesa GL libraries. I had to install the 32bit nvidia drivers and it worked like a champ.

total fix

yum install libglade2.i686 xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-libs.i686

Re: New Humble Bundle

I was a little dissapointed in the last one. I felt like a few of the games lacked spit an pollish. so far it seems that the two I have played are very professional in their presentation. I would reccomend these games to others. After i got the libraries installed they ran well. The only thing I don't have working yet is using my XBox controller as the input device.

Re: New Humble Bundle

Working well here. I had to install libglade2.i686 as well as mesa-libGLU.i686 on my Fedora 14 KDE 64-bit install on my desktop to get shadowgrounds working.
