flash player running choppy

I've tried flash in chrome, firefox, and opera and every video site I try is so chopppy its unwatchable. Youtube and vimeo work if I run it in html5 but many sites don't offer that. How can I fix this?

Re: flash player running choppy

I've had a little luck with disabling/enabling hardware acceleration. You can do so by right clicking on a Flash object and choosing settings. Then click on the far left button on the bottom of the settings window. Then click the checkbox for "Enable Hardware Acceleration". I've also had some luck with using the Flash Block plugin for Chrome. Then you click on just the object on the page you want to run.
