If that doesn't work (assuming nautilus mounts it under
/media), create a text file in the player's root directory called
.is_audio_player (note the dot in front of the name):

That's what I had to do to my cheap mp3 player. Now, it plays fine from rhythmbox (and shows up under 'Devices').
