KDM theme missing

This probably isn't the right way, but I got past the Verne theme missing for KDM and desktop theme by just copying over the Lovelock themes into a new Verne directory. Otherwise I got something like "KDM theme /usr/share/kde4/apps/kdm/themes/Verne not found" and it wouldn't boot. I would've tried 'yum history undo XX' but logging into my internet is a pain.

I got sort of the same thing. I ran X off the command line and my system is mostly back and working. Enough that you can add Verne in with a yum install. Interestingly you can start X as your self now and not need to be root. I know they have been working on that but I didn't know we were there.

you need verne-kde-theme,
http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/p...ackageID=12367

but that should have been pulled in via dependencies in kde-settings.

You always could - that is what the "startx" command was for.
