I have F15, and on 2011-08-09 I did a "yum update"
In pulled in a new kernal, a new mdadm and tons of other stuff.
When I tried to reboot, it uttery failed, before the filesystems were set up.
After two days of thrashing around, I've decided that the best evidence is that my system, even with the previous kernel, cannot recognize my raid volume(s).
The simplest test is that when I boot from the F15 Live DVD, and I try mdadm -D -s
I see my Arrays. I can even run palimpsest, see my raid array, and I can mount it.
When I boot from the hard drive, and I try "mdadm -D -s" I get a kernel error
md: could not open unknown-block(8,81).
md: could not open unknown-block(8,97).
I tried rebooting with the previous kernel, but that does not help.
I'm going to try and install the older mdadm, but I don't know if it was that, or a driver, and I don't have a good idea on how to find the real culprit. I've also never tried to downgrade with yum.
What should I do?

Looks like I found the bug
They have a risky workaround, but I'm hoping downgrade works.
