Could you add the gimp plugin packages as well (gimp-foundry)?

Simply install plugins from Fedora repository: they all work fine with newer version of gimp. You can safely ignore the warning dialog.

Re: GIMP Single-Window Mode Almost Ready, Hardware Acceleration Planned
I was going to try updating gimp from your repo, but you don't have the gimp-devel package in there so I get errors trying to update gimp. Since I use the devel package to build plugins and extensions (additional plugins that are not from the fedora repo), I guess I will either have to use the older version in the fedora repo, or build my own from source. :/

I added missing gimp-devel package, try to update again. Which plugins are not listed in fedora repo?

Re: GIMP Single-Window Mode Almost Ready, Hardware Acceleration Planned
There are numerous plugins out there that are not in the fedora repo.
the gimp animation package is one I can think of right off the top of my head
Edit:
Installed fine after you got the gimp-devel pacakge in the repo Thanks! .

Re: GIMP Single-Window Mode Almost Ready, Hardware Acceleration Planned
Installed the GIMP 2.7.3 packages to a F15x86_64 desktop without any problems but
when I tried installing to a F14 and F15 32 bit via yumex I get an error message: don't know why as I copied the repo file as listed and placed it in yum.repos.d.
When the repo was added to the F15x86_64 install and "yum update" was run the development GIMP showed
up as an update and installed. Any clues or should I just d'load the packages and install myself?

Re: GIMP Single-Window Mode Almost Ready, Hardware Acceleration Planned
that is because the repo looks to be set up incorrectly
The link has the 32 bit version as trying to go to the i386 directory, but the repo is set up as an i686 directory.
Under the fedora-15 directory, it shoudl have an i386 folder for the 32 bit rpms. it's got them in an i686 folder instead.
Code:
link you posted above:
http://repos.fedorapeople.org/repos/luya/gimp/fedora-15/i386/repodata/repomd.xml:
link that would work the way the repo is set up:
http://repos.fedorapeople.org/repos/luya/gimp/fedora-15/i686/repodata/repomd.xml:
To get it to work using yum, you could edit the repo file you created in /etc/yum.repos.d and change the baseurl line
Existing:
baseurl=http://repos.fedorapeople.org/repos/luya/gimp/fedora-$releasever/$basearch/
Change to:
baseurl=http://repos.fedorapeople.org/repos/luya/gimp/fedora-$releasever/i686/

Re: GIMP Single-Window Mode Almost Ready, Hardware Acceleration Planned
I set 32 bits rpms to use i386 repository instead of i686 which I deleted to match Fedora Repository guideline.
